“Between Breaths and Silence”
There is a place
between breaths and silence,
where broken dreams sit quietly
and wait to be understood.
Not every wound bleeds,
not every tear falls
some pain learns to smile,
just to survive the world.
We walk through crowded streets
with empty hearts,
carrying storms inside
while pretending we’re calm.
People ask, “Are you okay?”
and we nod
because explaining pain
feels heavier than feeling it.
Time doesn’t always heal,
sometimes it just teaches
how to hide scars
under the fabric of routine.
Yet…
in the darkest corners of the soul,
a small light refuses to die.
It whispers
“you are more than your pain,”
“you are still becoming,”
“you are not finished yet.”
And maybe that’s enough
not happiness,
not peace,
but the courage to continue.
Because even the longest night
eventually gives up
to the quiet strength of dawn.
And even the most tired heart
still beats
hoping,
believing,
living.
