A fire that broke out on the upper floor of Hotel Woodland in Durbar Marg on Thursday morning has been successfully brought under control. According to hotel management, the blaze started at around 9 a.m. and was largely confined to the top floor, as reported by eyewitnesses.
Police suspect that the fire may have been caused by an electrical short circuit. Fire engines from both Kathmandu and Lalitpur metropolitan cities were deployed to the scene, while personnel from the Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force assisted in the emergency response.
Authorities confirmed that the fire was extinguished in time and no injuries or human casualties have been reported.
